This project represents a small schematic for controlling a group of RGB LEDs with common anode or grouped single color LEDs (as the ones used in this case) using a PWM controller. And for the schematic to be very simple a minimal amount of components is used and also a low end microcontroller by Microchip. That’s why I think this schematic could be built even by a beginner. In addition there is no hard to find components used.

Infrared (IR) web camera
The following article will show you one of the easiest ways for making Infrared camera out of a standard web camera. First I will try to explain the difference between what a standard and infrared camera can “see”. The graphic below shows two light bands. The left is what a human being can see or Visible Light. The right is the infrared spectrum. Most of the objects around us emit or reflect significant amount of visible light as well as infrared light. When you you low power light bulb (incandescent) to bring light in you room and you try to use standard web camera, you will see that it hardly can show you what is in front of it. Using an infrared camera the picture of the same room will be about five times brighter. That’s because only 20% of the light emitted from a standard incandescent bulb is in the visible spectrum and the other is infrared.
Now it is time to show you how to modify a standard web camera and turn it into infrared camera.

В настоящата статия ще ви покажа един от най-лесните начини за превръщане на обикновена web камера в инфрачервена такава. Преди това е добре да се покаже разликата между това, което “вижда” стандартната камера и инфрачервената. На графиката по-долу са показани двата спектъра – видимият за човешкото око (лявата част) и инфрачервеният, който е невидим за хората (дясната част). Повечето обекти около нас излъчват съществено количество енергия в инфрачервения диапазон, дори когато излъчват малко във видимия. Същото се отнася разбира се и за отразената светлина. Използвайки това можем да видим с помощта на модифицираната камера, неща които иначе биха били невидими за нас, а също така можем да снимаме при много ниска осветеност.
